Bringing in a new year in that sense raises hope, reveals possibilities, and most importantly helps us take a fresh start. Looking around and talking to people as an artist I sense that people consciously choose peace over chaos, nature over city life, and general happiness over something that is effortful. To add to making life simple and peaceful, have you ever thought of learning art? For some, it is a hobby and for some a career but can we look at art as a medium that showers conditional opportunity to explore, get lost, and awaken your inner self. Art is Therapeutic:

‘Expressive Therapy’, popularly known as ‘Art Therapy’ uses art as a means of communication that allows us to explore and express our emotions and thoughts. Art creates a channel to reassess overwhelming emotions.  Due to its versatile nature, art therapy is perfect for people in general irrespective of their age. Art makes you happy:

Art is an expression of freedom. It gives liberty to the creator to just flow and showcase emotions. Anything that helps you unleashes your thoughts, emotions, and expression leads to immense happiness. Painting is one form of art that does not have any defined rules. Learning art can help you explore the creativity within yourself and lets you utilize your creative edge the way you wish to in your day-to-day life.

Art helps us appreciate the beauty

The very fact that you can put your thoughts into artwork proves that you appreciate everything around you. Nature, humans, experiences, emotions, etc. everything that our eyes can see and translate into a piece of art is appreciating beauty. It is an experience that humbles you as a human being.

Art helps us voice our opinions

Art, if used intelligently can become an outlet to drive powerful change in society. It lets you put down your strong opinions and concerns in a way where admirers can be provoked with a certain thought. For example, Sustainability is slowly becoming a way of life.  Artists around the world are joining the conversations surrounding sustainable living and using works to send a message. Art gives you the freedom to allow you to voice concerns around social & environmental change.
